Day 22 and 23 of June Dresses; Plus a Church Sale Find

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I got up this morning not feeling great.  I was thinking to myself, "Self, you are not so old that driving to Orlando a few times is going to beat you up.  So get up and get out there!"  So I obeyed myself, got dressed, and headed over to a yard sale at a local church (not the one I attend.)  I  managed to find a 5 gallon gas can for $1, several books for my kiddos to read...and THIS:

I found this under a pile of Dora backpacks and plastic handbags.

Look at that beautiful pattern!

Yes, my friends.  Coco Chanel bag at a church yard sale in Deltona, Florida!

I feel this is a real bag; the leather is supple, the stitching is top notch, and all the hardware matches.
The tag on the purse said $4.  I happily scooped it up, and continued shopping.  Satisfied after about 30 minutes of browsing, I made my way over to the cashier.  "Ohhhh!"  She exclaimed.  "I was wondering where this bag went.  I knew someone had donated it, and then I didn't see it go on Thursday or Friday (Sarah interjecting here...they were open Thursday and Friday?)  and I was thinking it was stolen or something!"  I said, "Yes, $4 is a great price for it!"  And then she said, "Oh honey, today is 50% off.  It's only $2!"  Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit.  I wasn't going to argue with her.  So even though it is a bit scuffed on the bottom, I will carry it with pride and forever talk about finding a Chanel bag for $2.  Yes, I will.

I've never owned a white bag before!

This is what all the fuss was about.  Scuffing on both parts of the bottom.  Honestly, had I bought the bag brand new, it would have looked like this eventually.  I am so hard on handbags; even worse than I am with shoes.

What I wore:

This is actually an old picture from May 13.  I wore this exact outfit again except without the hot cardi.  I didn't take pictures today; I was starting to feel like I was coming down with something, so I forced myself to go to the yard sale, go grocery shopping, get fuel, that kind of thing.

Oh, and this is the dress I wore on Thursday 6/21 when I was also too tired to take my picture.  There, now we're all caught up on pictures!

Want to know why I didn't take my picture today?  Well, this is the one picture of me you will get:

Oooh, hello there, pink eye and massively swollen eyelid.  Please go away.  Soon.  Oh, and I wore my sunglasses all day today so as not to scare the masses.  It's not unusual here in Florida for people to wear them almost 24/7.  Guess who is not going to church tomorrow?  Poo.  Can't infect the kiddies, you know.  What a bummer...no baby Gigi for me tomorrow!

Even I'm amazed by it! And she did know...she said specifically "Oh you got the Chanel bag!" I mean it was already ridiculously priced at $4, but to get it at half? Man I love the yard sales; the hunt is sooo exciting!
