Day 2 of June Dresses; Whoa Mama

I have had this dress for three years; I bought it to wear on my 15th anniversary trip; it was a maxi.  I tripped on it and tore the hem, so my mom made it into a shorter dress for me.

Whoa.  As in, I had no idea how bad this dress looked on me.  This dress needs to be a "cleaning the house" dress or maybe someday a maternity top.  It is way too short on me, and I never noticed it.  See, this is why taking pictures is ESSENTIAL.

Jessica London maxi dress, size L, 2009.  I can't remember what I paid for it; I think under $30.  You can't see them, but I'm wearing red and black plaid flip flops.  Yes, I'm aware they don't match.  Magnolia tree, courtesy of a hurricane in 2004 ripping down our old tree.

I like the color; I like the shape at the top.  That's about it.

Lord, and I even went out in this dresses.  Not cool, Sarah.  Not cool.

Can you believe my hair is already growing back?  My goodness!

By the time I saw these pictures, I had gone out and come back, and I had an autism meeting tonight, and I was not going to wear it.  I probably should have; Baby Gigi threw up on me twice in my second outfit.

Not a dress this time.  Long black skirt, Walmart, I think 2010.  Black and white polka dot top, Goodwill, also 2010.  Which both items are now covered in formula hurl.  Yuk.  So, there's the moral of this story; even when you think you look good, take a picture.  Now I know that this dress is NO BUENO and I will retire it.  Oh, and my autism meeting was great, thanks!  How was your Saturday?

I don't think you look as bad as you thought you did. It's cute and fits well. I like it. It would look really cute with a pair of capri leggins.

Good idea! Sometimes I just don't think of stuff like that. Thanks, Kelly!
