Thankful for Thanksgiving

It's still a few days away, but I'm very much looking forward to Thanksgiving.  It's my favorite holiday.  I love the food, the family, the lack of buying presents, and I love football too.  It's just the best!  As usual, I am in charge of Team Orange this year, meaning I am making pumpkin pies and sweet potatoes.  Normally I make them during the day while I work on Wednesday, but someone brilliant person in upper management decided to hold a half day meeting on Wednesday!  There goes my pie baking!  Guess I'll be doing that Wednesday night now.  Sheesh...meetings before a holiday.  I don't know what's wrong with people!

Almost everything is thrifted!  Blue Faded Glory dress, Goodwill for $6 a few years ago.  Black and white polka dot top is $3, several years ago.  Boots were $20 during a winter sale in July in Florida at Avenue.  Silver ball earrings, which I think might also be Avenue but I can't remember.

Keep growing, hair.  I will probably donate you soon!  Mwahahaha....although, darn it, it looked nice today.

The best picture, and of course my eyes are closed.  Oh well!

He's home for Thanksgiving!  Another reason to be thankful this year.  He also needs to be thankful that I don't cut off all that hair while he sleeps.  You should see my drain...it's so foul.  His hair is longer than mine!

So how are you all doing?  It sure has been quiet lately in blog land.  I had to friends have babies in the past two weeks.  My bestie had a little girl last Wednesday, and I haven't seen her yet because she is recovering from a C-section and I know she has family in from out of town.  But I can't wait to get a hold of my "niece!"

Well, the weather has turned...it is only 60 out, damp and windy as all get out.  I'm going to bake banana bread and clean the kitchen.  I am praying for everyone to have a lovely and blessed Thanksgiving, and ask that you all remember the Lord during this holiday weekend.  He is the reason we should be most thankful!
