Day 18 of June Dresses: Jury Duty for Realz!

I found out on Friday that I was recalled to show up for Monday.  I put on a cute little Avenue dress, assuming I would be dismissed.  WRONG.  I was one of the first people they chose to stay.  My first jury duty, ever!  And it's supposed to last the entire week so I have to drive to Orlando EVERY SINGLE MORNING.  I truly don't mind serving, but I hate driving!  And this is 85 miles per day!  Yuck yuck yucki!

At least I looked cute:

Avenue dress, bought in 2011, never worn.  Not sure why...I think this dress is UH-MAZ-ING!  I felt like a million bucks in it.  I think it's because the pattern is kind of crazy.  I wore a navy blue tank under neath, and black flats which drove me nuts all day.  I'm not used to my toes being covered!

Mr. R: "Uhhh, did you wear your cardigan today at court?"  Me, innocently: "Yes, I did."  Mr. R: "Good.  Because your curves are SLAMMING in this dress.  Maybe that's why you got picked for jury duty."  Me: "I was sitting down when they chose me."  Mr. R: "The front looks good, too."

Me, outside while Mr. R buffs out some rust on my Durango.  Can you tell how tired I am?  Am not used to driving three hours per day!

I can't tell you about the case, because I'm a JUROR.  But do know they serve coffee and doughnuts.  It's the small things, really.

It's a white background with yellow, green, teal, and navy lines on it.  Not a perfect pattern, very random, very interesting.  This dress definitely needs a slip, that's for certain.  I love the mock wrap and the neckline.  One of the best dresses in my closet, for certain!
Yeah.  Feeling awesome sauce in this one.  Oh, and Missy did my hair so now more grays for two more weeks, hooray!

Thanks, Honey.  Sorry I hit that pole.  *cough, ahem*
I will try to update tomorrow and the rest of the week, but it's going to be tough with all the driving I have to do.  So if I don't do an update every day, I'm sorry!  I didn't think I was going to get called for jury duty when I started this.

I LOVE that dress!

I've never, ever been called for jury duty. I've lived in this county my entire life! Weird....

This is my first time getting called, and I was picked, which surprised me. And I didn't get called for my local county, I got called for federal!
I love the dress, too. I'm wearing an old one today; will hopefully show you later!

I really regret not buying this dress! I tried it on too and loved the fit. Wrap dresses just look gorgeous on a curvy figure.

Wow that's a long way to drive for jury duty!! Is that in the same county as you? (Juries here are by county - I'm assuming it's that way there too).

It's not the same county; I was called for federal jury duty. That's why I have to drive so far. :(

Love this dress. And I'm glad to see jury duty is over for you. I have never done it, but I bet that is really hard! Enjoy your (hopefully) restful weekend!
