Grouch

You'd think with all the good news we've had lately, I'd be in a better mood.  I don't know about you, but if I don't get sleep, it doesn't matter how good things are; I'm still a grouch to be around!  Ever since we got back from vacation, Roscoe has gotten up at 5am EVERY SINGLE MORNING.  And has either vomited or urinated in his crate.  So every morning, I'm letting him up, mopping, and spraying his area because it absolutely stinks.  Except this morning, not only was I awakened by the dog, but the sonic boom from the last shuttle coming home.  Because I live so close to the coast, it is like gunshots next to your head.  I literally flew out of bed, thinking someone was shooting my house.

My heart truly goes out to the people who work at NASA...the Space Coast is about to become a total ghost town.  All the good jobs are leaving, and so many other businesses depended on NASA.  I have a cousin who is a cop in that area, and I pray for his safety as well.  When money gets tight, people tend to get violent.

Makes my lack of sleep seem like nothing.

Sarah, could your dog have a bladder infection?

I hope you get great sleep tonight. I'm grouchy when I don't sleep well, and it aggravates my fibro, which makes me really grouchy lol.

I'm with you about lack of sleep making me grouchy! I totally need 10-12 hours a night or I'm totally grumpy and lethargic. Usually I don't get that, but when I do it feels so great!!

Hey, if your dog does have a bladder infection, you might try a remedy I just found recently. You basically mix Apple Cider Vinegar with water and drink that a couple times a day. For myself, I've been mixing about a tablespoon of ACV with a tall glass of water. So however that ratio translates to a dog dish -- you don't want it so strong that it's unedible, but just a bit of ACV can really help.

Basically it nourishes the kidneys and helps keep you hydrated. I found this cure a few months back when I was having super heavy bleeding on my period. This totally cleared that up and has kept me regular every month since then!

I mentioned this cure to my mom and she said she and my dad used to feed that to their pigs (they raised pigs when I was little) to keep them healthy and hydrated. So I totally think it would be fine to feed to a dog, although you may want to research it a little more.

I try to drink a little every day to keep myself hydrated and my kidneys working smoothly. It's not the greatest tasting thing in the world, but it's not as bad as it sounds either.
