Say My Name, Say My Name

I love trolling on Pinterest, and I found a great idea for a Scrabble necklace.  I didn't like the way this one model had it though, so I asked my mom to make it for me.  My mom LOVES making jewelry, although most of her stuff is pretty predictable.  So this was a new one for her to attempt.  I posted the picture on facebook and my mom started getting requests for Scrabble necklaces!  Yes, I'm an innovator.  What can I say?  (besides my name.)

Isn't this cute?  Not professional (unless you work for a library!) but absolutely a win for weekend outfits!

So not much else has been going on here.  Typical family stuff: cleaning house, grocery shopping, working, church.  Missy has been applying for full time jobs since she graduates from high school in June (and no, I can't wrap my head around it yet.) and now Tiger is applying for jobs since he turns 16 next week!  SIXTEEN!!!!!  Although I was helping him with one application because he didn't know what it meant when a job asked you to relocate; he thought it meant going from one store to another and I said, "No, that means you're willing to move to Alabama or something."  He had to go back and fix some of his applications!  I had a good laugh over that.

I have another very full weekend ahead of me.  On Saturday, our church is having a Family Fun Day and I am helping to man (woman?) the autism disability booth.  On Sunday, our children's pastor is being ordained and we are having a huge luncheon in his honor.  This is when I love going to a Baptist Church...man the food is good.  Southern ladies CAN COOK.  I haven't decided what to make yet, but I am thinking green beans with bacon and almonds.

Interesting necklace, not really my style but it is cute though. I was just helping my daughter make word necklaces this weekend with one of those beaded jewelry kits my dad bought for her.

Cool necklace! I wonder if she could sell those on Etsy?

Also I wonder if it's not just Southern women, but Baptist women, who can cook? I've always gone to Baptist churches in Oregon and wow do they have good potlucks!! :D
