It was just so helpful to know there were a few people I could call over and over again who never made me feel funny or judged me.

Thank you and I really enjoy your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4436848276196191990.post-3513241197812927422008-03-24T13:08:00.000-04:002008-03-24T13:08:00.000-04:00Laurie, thank you for your comments. Thankfully, her parents have custody of her son and so he at least is not being subjected to this craziness.
Laurie, I hope your situation improves soon. I'll be praying for you!

Julia, good to hear from you again!Sarah Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02887966641411778673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4436848276196191990.post-84663306621318680552008-03-23T16:23:00.000-04:002008-03-23T16:23:00.000-04:00Having been in a very similar situation (minus the...Having been in a very similar situation (minus the physical abuse) I would say the best thing someone could do for me was to not judge me for staying with my husband and just be available to listen if I needed someone to talk to. We are now living apart, but I hope and pray he will be ok someday. I just can't subject myself to insanity of his addiction on a daily basis any longer (the part about him taking her car in the middle of the night made me tingle all over). It took a long time for me to get to this point though. It doesn't sound like Angie is there yet. I would suggest that someone call the police when he is physically abusive to her. He shouldn't be permitted to hurt her this way and it may jump start something where he is required to get help. She doesn't sound strong enough to do it herself. Just a thought.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4436848276196191990.post-76194930121367776792008-03-21T10:38:00.000-04:002008-03-21T10:38:00.000-04:00Thanks for responding to me down below. My heart br...Thanks for responding to me down below.

My heart breaks for women like Angie. She probably doesn't think she can do any better, and doesn't want to be alone. I wish she could see what this is doing to her son. I bet her parents were disfunctional and she knows no better way. So sad.Juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08497493113926488342noreply@blogger.com
